New Course for Healdsburg
Don't worry, we've kept the scenic vistas of West Dry Creek that capture the beauty of the Autumn harvest, but have a redesigned course that will offer runners a better finishing experience and easier transportation logistics. The new course will be unveiled soon on the the 2012 website, so stay tuned!

But signing up for the Second Chance Wait List still offers some hope. As many as 200 spots will be released for the drawing to be held on March 1st. And if you don't get picked in the 2nd chance drawing, visit our Facebook page to reach out to runners that may have an extra registration to sell/transfer.
Runner’s World coming to Santa Barbara!
Bart Yasso will be joining us in Santa Barbara, sharing his insight and humor with our runners. Bart is the Chief Running Officer of Runners World Magazine and has run in hundreds of events all over the world. Don’t miss meeting Bart by attending the expo and signing up for our pre and post-race special events.

MMost hotels in the Santa Ynez Valley are now sold out, but a few rooms are still available at the host Hotel Corque in Solvang and some of the Santa Barbara hotels. Check the Hotel page on the race's website for discounted rates and a complete list of area accommodations.
VIRGINIA WINE COUNTRY HALF MARATHON

Wine Tasting and Weekend Events
Wine tasting events are planned throughout race weekend, including a post race Winery Tour in Loudoun County and a special concert at Tarara Winery. Be sure to visit the Weekend Events section of our website for more details as they become available.

This years event sold out in one day but there is still time to register for the 2nd Chance Drawing. Up to 200 spots will be released on April 1st but the sooner you sign up the better chance you have of winning a spot.
Registration still open for GunBunFunRun 5K
TThe GunBunFunRun 5K, also held on July 15th, will start at Gundlach Bundschu Winery and follow the last 3 miles of the half marathon course before finishing in downtown Sonoma at the historic plaza. This race is limited to 400 runners and you can choose from two race options, with or without the post-race Wine & Music Festival. Sign up by clicking here.

Welcome Reception at Cuvaison Winery, Friday July 13th
This is an exclusive party not to be missed. Enjoy appetizers and Cuvaison wines at the architecturally stunning tasting room overlooking the vineyards along race start area.
Pre-Race Dinner at Truchard Winery, Saturday July 14th
We'll dine alfresco on the grounds of the Truchard family estate and winery, tucked into the hillside in the Carneros region of Napa. Destination Races is known for creating highly memorable events and this will certainly be an evening to remember.

OREGON WINE COUNTRY HALF MARATHON
More Road for Runners, Less Gravel.
Destination Races has been given approval by Yamhill County officials for a course change on the 2012 Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon. This change is designed take runners on a new, scenic route that incorporates three new roads, two of which are paved. The new course now has only slightly over one mile of dirt/gravel road compared to 3.8 miles with the old course. Click here to view the new course.

Pre-Race Dinner at Stoller Vineyards, Saturday September 1st
The grand Stoller Estate will be the location for the race start, and we invite you for a very special pre-race pasta dinner (alfresco of course) and preview for the morning to follow.

We invite you to spend Labor Day Weekend exploring Oregon’s many appellations in the heart of the Willamette Valley. There’s lots to see and do, including the Oregon State Fair in nearby Salem, the many attractions at The Evergreen Space and Aviation Museum, the rugged Oregon coastline, the beautiful city of Portland, and of course, the wineries of the Willamette Valley. Be sure to book your accommodations early, as there are limited hotels near the race start and finish.
