Registration OPENS for May 12, 2012 race!

Santa Barbara and the adjacent Santa Ynez Valley offer the perfect destination running experience. Early May is the ideal time to visit this haven for active life-stylers and wine enthusiasts. Away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, the area has plenty to offer starting with beaches and ocean activities, historic towns and missions, great restaurants and shopping, and plenty of recreational activities. Oh, and did we mention abundant wineries and tasting rooms?

This spectacular course runs from downtown Santa Ynez through Los Olivos into the Danish-settled town of Solvang for the post-race Wine and Music Festival. The valleys and rolling hills are filled with horse ranches, fruit orchards, lavender fields and vineyards, offering one of the most bucolic running courses in the world. The race will be held on Saturday May 12, 2012 but the festivities kick off at our early packet pickup party on Thursday in Santa Barbara. The expo and welcome reception will be held at Hotel Corque and Route 246 Restaurant in Solvang, and the popular post-race Wine & Music Festival will be bigger & better than ever with more wineries and great beer!

Now that registration for the 2012 Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon has officially opened make sure you get the jump on everyone by registering before the race sells out. Bring your running friends and family (especially Mom since this is Mother's Day Weekend) and join as a team of six or more to receive a discounted entry fee, or sign up for the two-person relay.

And if you haven’t already made your Labor Day weekend plans, registration is still open for the second annual Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon on September 4th, featuring a great course with plenty of wine and food themed activities all weekend long. Less than an hour's drive from Portland, this event offers the perfect mix of work(out) and play! Runners enjoy a course with breathtaking scenery, and the reward of a music and wine festival at the finish. Registration is still open, but hurry before the event sells out!

The Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon is the first Portland Marathon Partner Event, which represents an interesting, challenging, fun and well-administered event that can be part of training for the Portland Marathon on Oct. 9th. Healdsburg Sells Out but 2nd Chance Wait List Opens

The Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon is a favorite of runners and staff and a great way to close out the race season. The course winds past 24 wineries and autumn-colored vineyards on Halloween weekend. Registration for Healdsburg has sold out, but we are currently accepting sign ups for the race's 2nd Chance Wait List HERE! Approximately 100 spots will be released on Sept. 30th so you still have a chance to get in.
