Adastra Wines
5 East Napa Street Sonoma, Ca 95476

Our name, Adastra, comes from a phrase and sentiment beloved of Naomi Thorpe’s father: Per aspera, ad astra which translates to Through striving, to the stars. The pervasive spirit at Adastra is one of continuous improvement.

At Adastra, Chris Thorpe, Edwin Richards, and the Adastra team grow wine grapes on their 12 acre CCOF-certified organic estate vineyard in the Napa Valley Carneros region. Pam Starr has been Adastra’s winemaking consultant since 1997.

Our total production seldom exceeds 1,500 cases per year of Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot and Chardonnay. When the stars are aligned, we are able to produce our ultra-premium Proximus Pinot Noir and Proximus Merlot.

Most of our wine is sold directly from our winery to wine club members and friends from around the world.

We invite you to experience Adastra.

Over time, the wine opens up to reveal more subtle nuances, making for an immensely satisfying drinking experience. Fulcrum Wines
25 E Napa St, Sonoma, CA 95476
(707) 931-6097

Fulcrum is a winemaker’s winery, where no corners are ever cut. It is guided solely by David’s palate and a winemaking vision that has been developed over more than 20 years. From this vision, David produces a small portfolio of vineyard- and appellation-designated Fulcrum and On Point Pinot Noirs. These wines are made in limited quantities using grapes from a handful of acclaimed sites in the Anderson Valley, Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, Carneros and Chalone appellations. Though both Fulcrum and On Point capture the meeting point between grace and strength, they offer different stylistic expressions of David’s balanced approach to Pinot Noir. Fulcrum is the most deeply structured expression of David’s winemaking, with On Point offering a softer, yet equally alluring, side of great Pinot Noir.

Jacuzzi Family Winery
24724 Arnold Dr. Sonoma, CA 95476

The opening of the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards building in 2007 represented a lifelong dream for Fred Cline. It was his way of honoring his beloved grandfather, Valeriano Jacuzzi, on whose Oakley farm Fred learned as a teenager and young man how to tease grapes and produce from the soil. He also grew extremely close to his grandparents and their family. The history of the Jacuzzis and their trek at the turn of the century to America is the stuff of legend. Starting with nothing, not even a decent grasp of the language, the seven brothers who found their way to America used their woodworking and agricultural skills to develop groundbreaking inventions: a new, lighter propeller that helped American planes win WWI, and the irrigation pump that brought water to arid soil, and, when reversed, created the home spa revolution. The building that houses Jacuzzi Family Vineyards and The Olive Press is a tribute to the Jacuzzi family home in Casarsa, Italy. Come visit this special place, receive complimentary tastings of our wine and olive oil, and enjoy the Tuscan experience that is the gateway to Sonoma!

Founded on the principle that great wines are born in the vineyard, Merryvale Vineyards has a long-standing tradition of sourcing grapes from exceptional vineyards throughout the Napa Valley.

The process for selecting vineyards that are worthy of the Merryvale Vineyard label is an intense, rigorous, and exacted process. Careful attention is paid to microclimate, soils and sustainable vineyard management practices. Sites with unique aspects and characteristics coupled with our estate vineyard sources allow us to create rich, balanced and truly expressive Napa Valley wines. The commitment involved in growing grapes for Merryvale — specified by vineyard blocks or even row-by-row selections — result in wines with intense flavors and soft, supple tannin structure.

Nicholson Ranch
4200 Napa Rd. Sonoma, CA 95476

Nestled in the southern foothills of the Sonoma, the vineyards of Nicholson Ranch are planted in one of the world’s most prized grape-growing regions. We are located at the intersection of Napa and Sonoma where four of California’s best appelations meet. Nicholson Ranch enjoys a combination of soils, sloping hills and climate that is ideal for producing premium grapes for our handcrafted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah.

Our grapes are grown natually and sustainably. All our wines are made from grapes grown on our 40 acre Estate, fermented in small batches and aged for as long as three years in French oak barrels.

Obsidian Ridge
23568 Arnold Dr. Sonoma, CA 95476

Wines from the Mountains: Less than 1% of the Earth’s surface can produce exceptional wines. These rare sites share the balance of ripening sun with cooling air, resulting either from latitude, proximity to the sea (as with our Poseidon Vineyard), or elevation. Of the three, wines of elevation are perhaps the most rare and create dense, delicious wines.

Vines along the ridge: Planted along a ridge at the highest part of the Mayacamas Mountains, 105 acres of our Obsidian Ridge Vineyard rise from 2,300′ to 2,640′ in elevation and range from 5 to 20% slopes. The contours of the mountainside influence how we prune, water, balance the canopy, and pick the fruit—shaping literally every aspect of how we farm and vinify.

Poseidon Vineyard
23568 Arnold Dr. Sonoma, CA 95476

Wines from the seaside. Maritime fogs roll across Poseidon Vineyard, blown in by cooling Pacific winds and burned away again by the generous California sun. The river swells with salty water at high tide. Here, on the lip of the San Francisco Bay, we’ve grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes to supply exceptional California wineries for over forty years. For more than a decade, we’ve been harvesting them to create our own wines, reinventing the traditional and emphasizing the unembellished taste of the fruit itself.

Vines by the Bay. Poseidon Vineyard lies at sea level, at the confluence of Carneros Creek and the Napa River. We’ve owned and farmed this vineyard from the time Nicholas Molnar planted the property in 1973, following his hunch that the region would produce great wines. Even after four decades of farming, this undulating, gravelly bayside terrain continues to inspire exploration and discovery.

Ravenswood Winery Ravenswood Winery
18701 Gehricke Rd. Sonoma, CA 95476

From Dry Creek north of Healdsburg to the edge of the Carneros Valley at the edge of the bay, founder Joel Peterson has forged strong bonds with a cadre of grape growers who share a couple personality traits with the man who buys their fruit: commitment and stubborn independence. Then as now, these co-conspirators proudly sell us grapes for almost everything we make, including Ravenswood’s prodigious portfolio of Single Vineyard Designate wines, each proudly titled with the name of the distinctive vineyard where the fruit grew.

Tin Barn Vineyards
21692 Eighth st East #340, Sonoma CA 95476

Tin Barn Vineyards produces single vineyard wines highlighting the true character of Sonoma County. Our name derives from Tin Barn Road, which wends along the remote Sonoma Coast to the source of our debut wine. These days, we make our home in a different sort of “tin barn”—a warehouse in rural Sonoma housing our cellar and tasting room. Elegant wines, an intimate atmosphere, and passionate crew members make Tin Barn Vineyards a truly uncommon find.

Truchard Vineyards
3234 Old Sonoma Rd. Napa, CA 94559

After selling their grapes to premier wineries for 15 years, the Truchards began producing their own wines in 1989 to great acclaim. To accommodate the winery’s increased production, in 1998, they added an 11,000-square-foot wine cave to the premises. Today, Truchard Vineyards produces Chardonnay, Roussanne, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Malbec and Petit Verdot all of which are estate grown.

images Vollendet Wine
(707) 287-3728

In the Wachau region of Austria, on the famous south-facing terraces of the Danube, there grows a grape that is the pride of the country, and unlike any other: Grüner Veltliner.

When Antonia de Heinrich set out to bring this distinctive varietal from her homeland to the US, she envisioned a wine that rightfully honored her heritage. What she created was a Grüner as dry as the Austrian wit, with a citrus acidity as vibrant as their enthusiasm, and a unique minerality that fully captures their grit and determination. Because even though Vollendet translates to “perfect,” it wasn’t without Antonia’s own hard work and perseverance.

Finally, an American Grüner Veltliner made in the Austrian tradition. Proof you can achieve anything, if you simply put your mind to it.
